LGBTQ Fertility Options

Fertility Options for All
At Pearl Mini-IVF, we support your family building goals. Your care team will go above and beyond to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone looking to build their family – from same-sex male and female couples to transgender and non-binary individuals to non-partnered, single members of the community. Our goal is to ensure that all of our patients have the best possible chance of growing their families.
Fertility Treatment for Cis Male Couples
Because male couples do not have eggs, you instead have the option of using donor eggs or embryos combined with gestational surrogacy. In addition, male couples have the option of using sperm from one partner or using split insemination, in which half of the eggs are fertilized with one partner's sperm and the other half with the other partner's sperm.
The need for gestational carriers in male couples means that agency fees, third party fees, and legal contracts need to be a part of your treatment plan. Fortunately, your team at Pearl Mini-IVF will walk you through each step of the process making sure that everything is in order to start building your family.

Fertility Treatment for Cis Female Couples
Female couples looking to build their families can do so via intrauterine insemination (IUI) or mini IVF. Both IUI and mini IVF can use an anonymous or known sperm donor.
Those who need IVF or are looking to share their path to parenthood with their partner have the option of reciprocal IVF or shared maternity. Shared maternity is when eggs from one partner are fertilized with donor sperm to create an embryo and then transferred into the other partner's uterus to carry the pregnancy. Many female couples choose this shared path. It is also possible to come back for a second child and reverse who provides the egg and who carries the pregnancy.
Fertility Treatment for Transgender/Non-Binary (TGNB) Couples
Transgender and non-binary individuals or couples looking to build their families have many treatment options available depending on which gametes (sperm and/or eggs) are needed for reproduction.
We are dedicated to helping patients plan ahead, or for those who have already transitioned, minimizing the break from hormones and the stress that goes along with temporarily stopping treatment.
We also offer fertility preservation and treatment options to transgender individuals and couples, both pre-and post-transition. Often the hormonal and/or surgery involved in transitioning can affect fertility and the ability to have a biological child in the future. Pearl Mini-IVF offers fertility preservation for both pre and post-transition patients.
